John Donne was born in year 1572 22 january. He was a English poet and a cleric in the Church in England. He loved all kind of poems. Donne's style is characterised by abrupt openings and various paradoxes, ironies and dislocations. Donne’s theme of poetry is the idea of true religion. Despite his great education and poetic talents, Donne’s were very poor in several years. He is relying heavily on his well wealthier friends. They fed him. He spended money during and after his education mostly on womanising, literature, pastimes and travel. He secretly married ”Anne More” they had twelve children together. he became an Anglican priest, although he did not want to take Anglican orders. He did so because King James I persistently ordered it. In 1621, he was appointed the Dean of St’Pauls Cathedral in London.
